Since more then 50 years KUEBLER hydrometers made of glass are indispensable precision measurement instruments in laboratories and for the controlling of production lines.
Our hydrometers have a precision of up to 0.0001 g/cm³ or rather 0.00005 g/cm³ resolution upon special customer request, alcoholometers with an error range of 0,01-0,007 %vol (!), all products deliverable with/ without integ. thermometer, we offer many types for all possible applications and industries;
The production is according to DIN, BS, ASTM, A.P.I. Of course, we easily excel the requirements specified by the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt). On request, we can also supply with internationally recognised DKB certificate (ILAC). Our instruments are produced for precisely measuring the density, Baumé, Twaddle, alcoholometers in vol%, saccharimeters in %mas / Brix / Balling, refractometers, lactodensimeter for example acc. to Gerber, and Quevenne. Reference temperatures
The specific reference temperatures has to be strictly observed to gain perfectly accurate results. In case of deviating measuring temperatures corresponding corrections have to be carried out to yield accuracte results.
Surface tension
When choosing the hydrometer the surface tension has to be observed.

Design of the hydrometers

KUEBLER uses optimal readable deep red ( non-toxic) thermometer liquid, easily and comfortable readings of the capillaries and even scales (even: better readable than round ones). Mercury – Hg – has to be used as reading liquid for gaugeable / gauged instruments. Everyone of our instruments can be equipped with a beautiful easily readable coloured scale (You certainly do not have a TV in black/white version). E.g. this is the design of the scale for the hydrometer, article no. 310900. Our hydrometers are made of soda glass. |

Perfect measuring results can be achieved by using the HYDROMETER-MEASURING SYSTEM OPTIMUM (special kardanic stand, impact-protection glass magnifier, suitable measuring glass.
Keeping of the hydrometer
For the handy and diagonal setting-up of the hydrometers on the laboratory table we offer a special unit; furthermore we are delivering a wadded box to keep them in stock, e.g. for complete sets.

Each hydrometers is equipped with a detailed instruction manual, as we found out, that without considering the instruction measuring faults can occur.

CARDANIC STAND

The special cardanic stand developed by KUBLER consists of a heavy metal base, a shaft, a cardanic suspension designed for the insertion of glass cylinders with outside diameters of 63 mm. By using a variety of comparatively inexpensive reducing adapters, one can also insert glass cylinders with smaller outside diameters than the afore-stated 63 mm (and, thus, smaller impact-protection inserts) into the cardanic suspension. So that if is not necessary to buy a multitude of cardanic suspensions specifically dimensioned for the different outside diameters of the different glass cylinders one wishes to use with that stand - which, by the way, would be quite costly, given that those cardanic suspensions are rather expensive. The dimensions of the reducing adapters, the impact-protection glass inserts, and the cardanic suspension itself having been chosen to accommodate standard-size KÜBLER stand/measuring cylinders, only KÜBLER stand/measuring cylinders can be used in that cardanic suspension without difficulty. In order to hang it into the cardanic suspension, those KÜBLER stand/measuring cylinders must be equipped with 0-rings.
